SYFY’S GHOST HUNTERS HALLOWEEN LIVE, CABLE’S #1 HALLOWEEN EVENT, RETURNS WITH THE DODGE BRAND AS THE FIRST-EVER PRESENTING SPONSOR

NEW YORK – September 30, 2010 — Syfy today announced its first ever partnership with the Dodge brand as the presenting sponsor of the popular Halloween tradition Ghost Hunters Halloween Live and the annual 31 Days of Halloween programming franchise.

Said Chris Czarkowski, Vice President, Ad Sales, Syfy: “Halloween has always been a major event for our network, and we’re thrilled Dodge has partnered with us this October. Ghost Hunters Halloween Live is the perfect platform to bring to life the innovative technology behind the Dodge Grand Caravan.”

As part of the title partnership, the Dodge Grand Caravan will have a significant presence both on-air and online, all month long. On Halloween night, the Grand Caravan will play an integral role throughout the Ghost Hunters Halloween Live event, as the minivan’s technology will be used to enhance the TAPS team’s hunt throughout the 6 hours. Online, consumers can join the hunt via multi-camera online video feeds, live chats with the TAPS team members and the return of the “Panic Button” for web watchers to alert the team about something they are seeing live.

Airing Sunday, October 31, from 7PM-1AM (ET/PT), Ghost Hunters Halloween Live features cast members from the entire Ghost Hunters franchise (as well as some other special guests), who will team up to take on the haunts at the inimitable Buffalo Central Terminal in Buffalo, New York. Built in 1929 and abandoned 50 years later, the Terminal was once a bustling, 14-story combination office tower and train station. Now, this decaying art deco masterpiece is a potent hotbed of paranormal activity. Ghost Hunters, Ghost Hunters International and Ghost Hunters Academy are produced in association with Craig Piligian’s Pilgrim Films and Television (Dirty Jobs, The Ultimate Fighter, In Harm’s Way). Piligian and Thomas Thayer, along with Rob Katz and Alan David, serve as executive producers.

31 Days of Halloween features more than 600 hours of bone-chilling programming such as the Saturday Original Movies Monsterwolf, featuring Robert Picardo (Star Trek: Voyager) and Jason London (Wildfire) battling a Native American animal spirit, on October 9 at 9PM (ET/PT), and Red, premiering October 30 at 9PM (ET/PT), starring Felicia Day (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) as a werewolf-hunting descendant of Little Red Riding Hood.

  1. I have to say, I probably will poop out on it like the other specials, but I have nothing to do that night but hand out candy and I really was hoping they’d choose that location for a Halloween special, so I’m glad they’re going there. That place was just ideal! I’m sure on the recap episode I’ll see what went down that was of any worth, but it might be a nice background atmosphere while I’m checking out the kid’s costumes and scaring them with my tortured baby doll display.

  2. i hope the cameras r better than years before and the sound is good im excited and cant wait we missed you all last halloween good luck
