Dr. Shigeru Mita, Mita Clinic in Tokyo has suggested that people evacuate Tokyo due to health issues from the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.
Will the US absorb refugees from Japan?
Why is the media covering silly topics on TV?
Why isn’t the government making plans and discussing options?

Godzilla! I have no idea. I am baffled that the media walked away from Japan and haven’t covered the nuclear issues. It’s catastrophic and getting zero air time.
Well ABC would rather talk about Wolfgang Puck or the latest movie sequel.
I am a concerned humanitarian. I lived in Japan from 1962 thru 1964. I was part of the USA military mission and spent my time primarily in the Fukuoka City area.
I spent time instructing Japanese pilots in conversational English and speaking at Japanese Rotary Club meetings.
I met many Japanese people and have so many fond memories. I returned to the USA in 1965 after a tour in Europe. Entered Universities to obtain chemical engineering and then advanced material science degrees to pursue my business goals. As a research Director in the 1981-2004 period I returned to Japan and worked with MItsubishi Scientists on stainless steel development issues, in the Mihara area. I also continued learning Japanese at BGSU located in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Now I teach at two Universities and am in semi retirement. I live with my wife, Isabella in Castalia, Ohio.
If, as I suspect, something goes terribly wrong, and the children need to be evacuated I wish to be contacted as I have ample room here in Castalia and a strong desire to help protect the children.
I am the father of three children and the Grandfather of six. We are a very close family.
Keep me advised if the situation doesn’t improve. If you need any further information about me or my capabilities, let me know and I will provide you with Japanese technical leaders that I have worked with from 1982-2000.
I am willing and capable to help!

That’s awesome Allan.
OMG, why am I not surprised at our ridiculous media? They skewer stories, plant propaganda and are more concerned with sports figures and games than important and disturbing news such as this.
My heart goes out to the people of Japan. They have weathered so much. Will no media outlet dare to deal with this tragedy? Probably not. Kobe Bryant is more important.
The latest Kardashian drama deserves prime-time geesh
We should all be prepared to deal with a sudden influx of Phillipine and Japanese immigrants. Parts of their countries are totally wasted. So sad! 😦
