Day by Day Armageddon: Beyond Exile is a fantastic zombie apocalypse tale spun by J.L. Bourne. It tells the story of  a naval officer in his day-to-day struggle to survive. The saga is written as diary entries complete with a Kilroy doodle.

While “Beyond Exile” is the second book of the series, I don’t think that you need to read to first book to know what is going on. How hard is it? It’s a zombie apocalypse story. Having said that, it is not a comic zombie story that is all the rage these days.

The story is gritty. It includes mistakes and loss. I really enjoyed this story it has a Scott Edelman vibe to it.

I give it 5 out of 5 stars … if you are at all interested in zombie stories “Beyond Exile” is a must read!

I received this complimentary book from Gallery Books for review purposes.
