Svengoolie Schedule for the month of March 2024

The Invisible Man’s Revenge is a 1944 American horror film directed by Ford Beebe and written by Bertram Millhauser. The film stars John Carradine as a scientist who tests his experiment on Jon Hall, a psychiatric hospital escapee. Hall’s character takes the invisibility serum and then embarks on a crime spree. The plot revolves around revenge, betrayal, and the consequences of wielding invisibility. Although Hall’s character shares the name “Griffin” with characters in other Universal “invisible man” films, the movie does not follow the continuity of the series.

Here’s a brief synopsis of the film: After murdering two orderlies, Robert Griffin escapes from a Cape Town mental institution where he was committed. His intent is to seek revenge on the Herrick family. The Herricks, Sir Jasper and Lady Irene, are accused by Robert of leaving him injured in Africa during a safari. Robert demands his share of the diamond fields they discovered together. When they refuse, a twisted game of betrayal and madness ensues. The film explores themes of greed, deception, and the dark consequences of invisibility.
