Creative Reads by Outstanding Writers

Once again, it is that time of the year when I pick my Creative Reads by Outstanding Writers (CROW awards). It’s hard to believe that another year has burned away. That being said, this list will help you find the perfect stocking-stuffer for that “book nerd” in your life.

Nonfiction:

The Lee Avenue Haunting: 2nd Edition (Review link) I picked this one up at Amazon and it was a pleasant surprise. I recommend it for the ghost enthusiast.

Paranormal Petersburg (Review link) Petersburg, Virginia, and the surrounding areas of Colonial Heights, Hopewell, Prince George, Dinwiddie, and nearby Ettrick-Matoaca, Enon, and Chester to discover what spirits, monsters, UFOs, and legends await the unwary.

Strange West Virginia Monsters (Review Link) “Join the search to examine reports of unidentified and misplaced creatures—known as “cryptids”—throughout the Mountain State, from its earliest history to present day.”

Fiction:

Medusa: A Dark Victorian Penny Dread by Elizabeth Watasin. Anything written by Elizabeth Watasin is superb but her tales are for a mature audience.
