Review: Lobster Johnson: A Chain Forged in Life

No, Lobster Johnson is not some freakish lobster-man from the imagination of some comic writer, but a vigilante along the lines of an early Batman-Shadow. Check out my review of “A Scent of Lotus” (link).

27180On the one hand, I love the diselpunk-era vigilante superhero concept. The artwork is cool and I love the action. On the downside, the story was extremely weak. Would it have been so hard to throw in a twist at the end? Basically, Lobster Johnson chases down some villains who take a street Santa as hostage.

All in all, it was a fun read and should appeal to the steampunk, diselpunk, retro-hero fans. I give it 3 1/2 stars.
