    I’m afraid that M.R. James will never achieve the attention he deserves in the US. This is a generation raised on Stephen King and Clive Barker. More the pity, because the backgrounds against which his stories play out tend to be very creepy on their own. And his writing style with an ever present eerie undertone is almost unique to him. I found him strictly by accident, and have loved his stories ever since.

      I feel the same way. I hope documentaries like this one will expose American readers to a marvelous talent.
