E-book News: Sony shifts readers to Kobo

sony ereaderI have to be honest, I haven’t followed Sony’s e-readers or e-reading products. For the most part, I use Kindle for the PC. Having said that, I am sorry to hear that Sony is dropping it’s US market into the lap of Kobo. Don’t get me wrong Kobo is a solid e-reader company. I just hate to see the decline of choices in reading formats.

The folk in Asia and Canada will continue to have Sony reader products. Customers in the US will migrate to the Kobo system late March.

I plan to do more with e-reader reviews and tips (though I no longer accept ebooks for reviews — I have too many I that I bought and haven’t read). I will keep an eye on Kobo.

Haha yeah Amazon is the big dog in ebooks. I may check out kobo products in the future.
