HMS Bounty sunk

When I lived in Pensacola, I had the opportunity to go aboard the HMS Bounty. I enjoyed every minute of it. I am sadden to learn of it’s lost and some reports suggest loss of life.

The Bounty was built for the 1962 movie “Mutiny on the Bounty” with Marlon Brando. It has been in several documentaries and was the Edinburgh Trader in “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” with Johnny Depp.

  2. Hey there! I know you posted this WAY back in October, but I am so slammed with emails that it sometimes takes me months to get to the ones that are not business related ~ sorry. I really enjoyed the video of the Parade of Sail, but am also deeply saddened to hear about the loss of the Bounty, as she was a n amazing and beautiful ship. I, myself, am very much of a tallship enthusiast. She certainly was the most majestic ship in the parade that day, and now I have to get to the sad task of doing the research to find out what actually happened. Not sure how I could have missed hearing about it, except that October is a time of year when I am totally preoccupied with all things Halloween. Btw, I have missed reading many of your blogs over the past few months, but I always try to get around to them eventually! Deborah Hart

    1. It was a treat to visit the old ship. I hate that others will not have the opportunity to visit it.
