Merlin: Goblin’s Gold

23 Jan

I have a guilty pleasure. I enjoy Merlin in all of its campy sword-slinging goodness. The past two episodes lead me to believe that the show was taking a darker tone. However; the show has returned to its campy roots.

I have to admit that I enjoyed the darker tone of the earlier episodes, and I was disappointed to see a comedic goblin. That being said,a scourge of flatulence, a bald Uther, and an Arthur with donkey ears made me laugh. Yes, I’m easily amused.

Mark Williams (Arthur Weasley from Harry Potter) provided the voice of the goblin. All in all, I enjoyed it.

Okay, several people have told me they like Merlin. I guess I’m going to have to see what all the liking is about.

I think that you have to have a taste for this kind of show.
