Review: Saint Patrick

Saint Patrick
by Jonathan Rogers

(4 stars out of 5)

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day everyone. Saint Patrick by Jonathan Rogers is a concise book of 143 pages that covers much of the life and legend of Saint Patrick.

It tells the tale of a young man of privilege who was taken as a slave to Ireland. Patrick served in the pastures as a shepherd. In time Patrick escaped captivity only to return as a shepherd of a different kind. This time Patrick returned with the Gospel.

When you look at Rogers’ book, you can’t help but judge a book by its cover. The book is small and an odd shape. It is too big for your pocket and the cover art is unimaginative. However; as the old saying indicates, the content of the book is outstanding.

I give it 4 shamrocks out of 5 …

I received this complimentary book from Thomas Nelson for review purposes.
